Felling the turdicle

by Dave 'Gonk' Hoy

As a build on Pete Noble's song/story [no longer available -- Ed.], by midwinter '69 the loo had grown a frozen structure similar to an inverted icicle (the turdicle) which threatend closure of the loo due to protrusion above seat level. Keith/Graunch Chappell volunteered to emulate Jack (of beanstalk fame). The 10 gallon drum which took the place of the pan was removed and Graunch lowered into the pit, axe in hand. After setting to work, this interesting composite structure was felled. Our hero was retrieved but little thought was given to the frozen fragments lodged in his woollens, until their fragrance became overwhelming.
